Expertise and Professional Background
William has broad litigation and insolvency experience having worked with Maples and Calder for several years, predominantly in the Cayman Islands. William regularly advises banks and investment vehicles and their liquidators, shareholders, directors and associated individuals in relation to disputes.
William is the lead partner acting for the official liquidators of a Cayman SPV in relation to the US$9.2bn Saad litigation. This is the longest running trial and most high value case ever litigated in the Cayman Islands Grand Court. William leads the firm’s London and Cayman teams working on the case, providing time sensitive advice to the London based office holder.
William is based in London and travels regularly to the firm’s Cayman Islands office.
