Expertise and Professional Background
Janeen joined Harneys as an articled clerk in 2014 and was admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar in 2016. She advises on all aspects of corporate and commercial law including the formation, maintenance, restructuring and dissolution of Cayman companies, and investment funds. She also advises on various aspects of immigration law, probate and trusts and succession planning for high net worth individuals and families.
Before joining Harneys Janeen was employed with an offshore boutique investment management firm with a focus on distressed and illiquid investment funds. Prior to that, Janeen was employed in the position of vice president at a major offshore financial services provider specializing in the provision of directorships and related fiduciary services.
Janeen was admitted to the New York Bar in 2006 and later became a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association, and 100 Women in Hedge Funds. She is a Notary Public in the Cayman Islands and is fluent in Arabic.
