Gemma Lardner joined Harneys in 2016 as an associate in the Litigation and Insolvency Department in the Cayman Islands and has also spent time working with the Harneys Insolvency and Litigation team in Hong Kong.
Gemma has experience in a broad range of commercial matters including financial services litigation, shareholder disputes, company director claims and asset recovery. Gemma specialises in insolvency and restructuring and has worked on a wide range of domestic and cross border insolvency matters in the Cayman Islands and Australia, providing insolvency and restructuring advice and representation to liquidators and administrators, creditors, shareholders, secured lenders and company directors.
Gemma is a regular contributor to The Offshore Litigation Blog, which shares updates and opinions on litigation, dispute resolution, regulation, restructuring and insolvency in the offshore jurisdictions.
Gemma is admitted to practice as an attorney in the Cayman Islands and as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. She is a professional member of the Cayman Islands Recovery & Insolvency Specialists Association, the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, INSOL International and the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association.
