Expertise and Professional Background
Catharina von Finckenhagen is an associate in Harneys’ Cayman office. With extensive corporate finance, banking and investment funds experience, she specialises in advising an international client base on general corporate and banking matters and all aspects of investment funds, including formation, restructuring, corporate governance and operational matters. She also regularly advises global banks on fund finance transactions.
Prior to joining Harneys in October 2016, Catharina was an associate at a leading offshore firm in Singapore. Before that, she worked as an associate at Norton Rose Fulbright in London, Hong Kong and Bahrain where she advised on corporate finance and funds matters, including international private equity offerings, various open and closed-ended fund formations, including Shariah compliant structures, public and private mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and joint ventures.
Catharina is also a member of 100 Women in Finance, Women in Fund Finance and the Law Society of the Cayman Islands.
Catharina is fluent in English, French, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish and Spanish.
