Expertise and Professional Background
Kisha is a member of the BVI Litigation and Insolvency department where she specialises in civil, corporate and international litigation. Practice areas include contractual breach, property disputes, debt recovery, employment, admiralty, personal injury, trusts, contentious probate and estate matters, contentious insolvency, fraud, shareholder and corporate disputes, banking disputes, injunctive and discovery orders.
For two years beginning in 2014 Kisha was an associate in the firm’s Private Client department where she advised local and international clients on property, shipping, banking, labour and immigration matters among others. Kisha joined Harneys in 2012 as a participant in its prestigious two-year training programme for newly qualified lawyers. Prior to joining Harneys, Kisha worked at the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court as a Judicial Assistant at the High Court’s Criminal, Civil and Commercial Divisions and at the BVI Financial Services Commission as a legal intern.
Kisha holds an introductory certificate in international arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is a trained mediator certified by the Judicial Education Institute of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. She also serves the wider community as an officer in local and international civic organisations, including service as the President of the Tortola Toastmasters Club of Toastmasters International from 2013-2015.
